I spent NBA All Star weekend at the Aloft Hotel in Houston, TX. No reason really, just wanted to get out of town for a few days. And so I did.

Some guy in a Huey & Earl shirt kept taking pictures of me. The room would have been nice had it not been for that.

I hit up the Galleria Mall to go to the House of Hoops. Foot Locker’s House of Hoops stores are home to all the hard to get Nikes and Jordans as well as Player Edition Exclusives that would normally never see a retail shelf.

All those Kobe and Lebron puppet commercials wore me down into picking up a pair of Kobe V’s. I’ve seen so much advertising for this shoe that I was left with no choice.

Kobe ended up sitting out the all star game with injuries but had he played he would have been laced up in the above. It’s seriously the lightest shoe I’ve ever felt.

Final thought….. the Dunk Contest sucks again!
