The clock had just hit 5pm on Friday afternoon. As I pause my game of Skate and put down the 360 controller, I felt like I needed to get out of the house.
So, in the middle of prime traffic time and all the hurricane panic I headed towards downtown to Urban 9. I wanted to say what up to Reno and break him off some Huey & Earl stickers and tees.
Reno was placing an order for a bunch of 2009 Dekline Top Shelf merch. Dekline is bringing some nice stuff for next year. High quality materials, attention to detail, and super squishy insoles in well packaged limited runs. Thinking I’m gonna pick up a pair of these.

I picked up this dope Alphanumeric shirt. Who can’t relate to that design? Brilliant!

Our conversation shifted to Hurricane Gustav which brought the question. “Where in the f*** did the name Gustav come from”? “What is that, German”?
At that point the controversial but creative term Hurric-caust came out.
Reno, if hurricanes needed marketing you could be rich.

The legendary Michael Jackson video “Thriller” has been re-done by a cast of Legos. In order capture the amazing details in this replica of a masterpiece, I posted the original video for you to reference. For best results, watch simultaneously.

Directions
1. Streaming two videos at the same time is a lot of data to handle for a wireless connection. If plugging in to your modem or router is an option, I suggest doing so.

2. Go ahead and click play on both vids.

3. It is unlikely they will load at the same time, but just wait for it to start anyway.

4. Once both videos are playing, quickly drag the arrows back to the start on each of them.

5. This should have them within a second or so of each other, so just watch and admire.

Hurricane Gustav

Only time will tell if the tropical storm turned hurricane known as Gustav, will hit Louisiana. Sadly, it has already torn through Haiti killing 23 people. We will likely have Hurricane Gustav in the gulf by this weekend and by Monday we could have 110mph wind, category 3 hurricane tearing through our cities.

All of this on the three year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Flashback to 2005. I was chilling at my old apartment, stoked about the possibility of getting some days off work, knowing Katrina was just days away. There was only one thing on my mind.
Dude on Ebay better have shipped my Jordan X Ice Blues by now.

No matter what anybody tells you, there is a little bit of excitement when a hurricane is coming. Nobody wants anyone to get hurt but they sure would like to get a break from school or work. Plus, it is kind of a rush waiting for it because it is so unpredictable.

No matter where you are in the country, get your car gas’d up today.
If your on the coast, you already know why. In a few short days you could see lines 30 cars deep waiting to get gas or even worse there could be no gas at all. As for the rest of the country, gas prices will be rising due to the fear of all the oil rigs in the Gulf being destroyed.

There is a whole lot of if’s right now but one thing is for sure. Hurricane Gustav looks to be very trippy.

Scattered around different areas of my house are displays of toys. Collecting is my favorite my past time. Closets full of sneakers, attic full of comic books, chests filled with baseball and basketball cards. There is a collection of some sort representing every period of my life.
The toy collecting came back for me just in recent years, so you’ll see a 20 year old Ms Piggy next to a brand new Dunny.

I finally got around to picking up the RUKUS DVD Freedom and if you have not done so, you should.
Its a good watch and let me tell you why, its got plenty of silly, well done music and editing, a DJ Gaudin sighting, and some dope skating.
