BAIL BONDS
The above picture is your boy Lee Harvey Oswald, one of the more popular arrests in Louisiana history.
Bail bonds, helping fools get out of jail since 1898. If you have ever had the pleasure of being arrested and taken to jail you know that bail bonds are a wonderful thing. Without them it would be quite difficult for most folks to get out of jail.
Example:
Jimmy has enjoyed a hardworking day of drug dealing and debauchery. On his way home to see his wife Susan and their lovely children, he gets pulled over by Officer Dick. Officer Dick informs Jimmy that he was seen selling drugs to a undercover officer and will be going to jail. Jimmy, knowing he has $50,000 in a safe at home and the support of a local bail bondsman, says “no problem Officer Dick, please take me to jail”. Once Jimmy is allowed a phone call, he contacts Susan and informs her what has happened. Susan then finds out that Jimmy’s bail is $100,000. Susan pays a visit to the local bail bonds facility and pays the bail bondsman $10,000 in cash. Twenty four hours later Jimmy and his family are holding hands at the dinner table together and blessing the nutritious meal before them.
“Why only $10,000″ you ask?
In the wonderful USA you can go to a bail bondsman and pay %10 of the total bail amount to have your loved one removed from jail. In exchange for this deal, you sign papers that guarantee the appearance in court of the criminal you are bailing out. If the criminal does not appear in court you will likely be sued by Mr. BailBondsman for the remaining amount of the bail.
Life Lesson:
Only bail out people you trust.
Located in downtown BR is the beautifully decorated Around The Clock Bail Bonds. I have always loved the artwork on this building.
The artwork alone lets you know they have one thing in mind. Getting you out of jail.
